As Digby noted, Norah O'Donnell of NSNBC is already asking if President Bush is going to have ask Vice President Cheney to resign as a result of what's being alleged at the Libby Trial.

The Republican White House outed a CIA agent for political proposes. Then they try to cover it up for political proposes during the '04 election. Karl Rove must be defend at cost. If Karl Rove goes down the whole Bush White House goes down with him and they lose re-election if Scooter Libby's defense is to be believed.

Who are they going to attack? Scooter Libby? I don't think so, he know were all the bodies are buried. The only person left to attack is Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald. Expect the most vicious attack dog, Mary Matalin to question the credibility of Patrick Fitzgerald with smears. The right wing noise machine is going to out in full force discrediting case against Scooter Libby, it's the only move they have left.

This is not a good day at the White House.
