Reality: GOP talking point of Cut & Run

Mission (not yet) accomplished

President Bush regarding the Iraq war:

"It is important to have members of the United States Congress who will not wave the white flag of surrender in this war on terror."

White House counselor Dan Bartlett was asked later to name any members of Congress who had called, in any way, for waving the white flag of surrender.

He couldn't name one.

Confronted with reality, he had no choice but to cut and run.
